Project Lampstand was born out of a conversation I had with God when I told Him I am an introvert (like that was a surprise to Him), which is ideal for writing, but means I hate the promotion aspect of publishing. He helped me to see that advertising and promotion is not about bragging on my own achievements, or trying to extort people’s hard-earned money from them, but is about the principle of putting my light on a stand. He said He loved the fact that the books I write are all to help people get to know Him better, and then asked how can my books achieve that if nobody finds out about them?

So I’m a convert. And to remind myself of God’s pleasure when we shine HIS light bright, I set up Project Lampstand, to allocate funds specifically for advertising etc. It was not long before I started receiving emails from people who saw the adverts, bought one of my books, and encountered God as they read.
