Hi, I’m Rachel – writer, and friend of God. I met him in secret at seven years old, and that friendship has carried me through every high and low of life ever since. I don’t consider myself a particularly skilled writer, or an expert theologian — just someone who’s had the enormous privilege of discovering friendship with God, and who wants to help others to get to know him too.

So that’s what I write for. Through my books, blogs, and this website, I hope to help you meet him for yourself, and maybe develop your own friendship with him further.

Do have a nosey around, and if you’d like to keep up with what I’m doing, with exclusive news and offers, you can subscribe to my newsletter here. You can also find me on Substack, Facebook, and Instagram, or just drop me a line via the contact form – I’d love to hear from you.

love, Rachel x

My Books

  • Friend of God – my memoir, telling the story of how a lifelong friendship with God began when I was seven, and what’s happened since.
  • The Jesse Tree Anthology – an Advent collection of family-friendly stories revealing how the Old Testament points to Jesus.
  • Finding Jesus in the Wilderness – a devotional (companion prayer journal also available) for finding Jesus even in dry, difficult seasons.
  • Coming this November – The Doubting Vicar’s Book Club – my debut novel! An uplifting, cosy, contemporary tale of friendship, found family, and second chances, set in a sleepy village where four strangers meet and a simple book club changes their lives.

Working on your own book?

Alongside my own writing, I also work as a book coach, developmental editor, and ghostwriter, helping other writers bring their stories to life. [Find out more about my writing services →]

A bit about me

I live in Worcestershire with my husband Mike, our three adult sons, and our lodger – so life is rarely quiet! When I’m not writing, you’ll usually find me out walking in the countryside with my camera, chasing the light.
